I test this game on my netbook. Runs fairly well with Fraps, averaging 10 FPS (though gunfights are a bitch) and a better 20 FPS when not using Fraps. This is just me doing the early challenge mission "Dope Dealers Must Die" to show the performance during gunfights, which is not so great, especially when the targeting system doesn't help at all. Then I drove around to show the driving FPS (averaging 7) until I found a day of the dead challenge. I know that I did die during the first challenge, I'm not a noob, the framerate and targeting system combined formed a tough time getting ahold of guys in mah crossights. Anyway, I'm planning on doing more of these videos to show of this comps abilities. In terms OF the abilities of this netbook and its gaming prowess, I would say it's just a little lower than the Acer Aspire One, which I also own. Look forward to the next one!

Your netbook's drive C is one of its most important parts. By default, your operating system operates from your netbook's drive C. Very important program files are found on this drive. Ideally, you should have 30% of your disk drive free at all times for optimal performance, i.e., fast loading of applications, etc. If you max out your drive C space, your system will crash.

Here are some tips on managing your drive C and how you can free up some space on your netbook. These tips are specific to Windows XP users.

1. Delete Temporary Internet Files

Temporary internet files are cookies, html documents that have been saved on your hard drive. Windows XP, by default, sets the limit on temporary internet files at 200MB. You have the option of lowering the limit but delete the existing temporary files first. To do so, open Internet Explorer, click Tools, then move down to the bottom where it says Internet Options. You will see the Temporary internet files label on the second box. Click Delete Cookies and Delete Files. To lower the space allocation for temporary internet files on your netbook, click on Settings (next to the Delete Files button), then set the space allocation to 50MB.

2. Uninstall unnecessary programs

Again by default, Microsoft Windows XP comes with several programs that you won't really need. Depending on the netbook manufacturer, these include Adobe Reader 7.0, Compatibility Pack, MS SQL, MS Visual Ctt, Windows Live Installer, Windows Live Mail, Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Photo Gallery, Windows Live Sign In Assistant, Windows Live Toolbar, Windows Live Writer, and Windows Media Encoder. To uninstall them, select Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel. Select the program you want to remove and then click Remove.

3. Compress your hard drive

To compress your hard drive, go to my computer, then right click on your drive C. Click on properties. Click on the box Compress drive to save disk space. Click OK.

There are many great mini laptops to choose from, but I will review only four of them in this article: The HP Mini 5101, The Asus Eee PC 1005HA, the Toshiba Mini NB205-210, and the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 are all among the top-rated mini laptops.

The HP Mini 5101 is a business-class netbook, priced around 5. The sturdy design makes for a great travel companion. The chassis is an all-black body, and has a bulging battery under the laptop instead of poking out of the back. The weight is about 3 pounds, which is about average for the minis. The keyboard is 95% full-size, making it extremely comfortable to type on. The touchpad is a bit small, but the buttons are below, which I find more comfortable to work with. The sound was nice and balanced, and lyrics were audible at average volume. The display was visible from both horizontal and vertical angles. This netbook is highly rated among consumers, and I recommend it as well.

The Asus Eee PC 1005HA costs around 0 with an Intel Atom processor, 1 GB RAM, Windows XP and 160 GB hard disk. The battery life is a raging 9 hours, which is a major plus. The Asus is a bit thick and heavy. With the adapter, the mini weighs 3.4 pounds. The keyboard I found a bit hard to type on compared to the HP above. There are no spaces between the keys, and the flat layout makes it harder to type on than the raised keyboards. The multifunction mousepad is very useful. You can zoom in on pages, scroll, click, all with two fingers. The display is colorful and bright, but the viewing angles leaves a bit to be desired. The speakers were a bit tinny. Though this isn't my favorite mini, it is a strong competitor.

The Toshiba Mini NB205-210 is for the budget conscious, coming in at 0. You can get the 0 version, but the extra will only get you more aesthetics and no more in performance. The battery ranks the longest life with a crushing 9.5 hours. The weight is average at 3.4 pounds with the adapter. The design is a bit thick. The keyboard is comfortable to type on, and the touchpad is large, which is another plus. The LED backlit display is nice and bright with good viewing angles both horizontally and vertically. The audio is where this laptop falls a bit, lacking in both clarity and volume.

Last but not least is the Dell Inspiron Mini 10, ranging in price from 0 to 5 for the top model with tv tuner and high resolution screen. This model is slim in design, weighing the average 3.4 pounds with the adapter included. The keyboard is 97% full-size and comfortable to type on. The touchpad is multifunction, which is always a plus.
